Description:

Poor circulation occurs when blood vessels are constricted or slightly obstructed. This could be due to tension in the connective tissue around the blood vessels which causes diminished blood flow.

 

Causes:

Causes for poor circulation may include coronary heart disease, Raynaud’s disease, hypothyroidism, frostbite, working with vibrating equipment, side effects of medications, underlying diseases that affect blood flow to the skin (female smokers are prone to this), and stress.
